Re: Switch being monitoring not returning any data

Hi, We noticed pretty much within 20 minutes that all the bandwidth on all ports seemed to be nominally zero. Then when we did a test by shunting some data though a known pathway that one port did show traffic and its mirrored opposite still showed nothing. I will get our network engineer to recheck...

Switch being monitoring not returning any data

Hi, I have added a switch to be monitored using the config wizard, but it doesn't appear to be sending any port bandwidth statistics back*. The initial port scan during the wizard pulled back all the switch port config and the config committed ok, subsequent polling checks show that the ports that a...

Re: Server stalling on wget at start of update

Hi,

Yes, that's understandable.

I think we are happy that its not the Nagios server at this point and we will escalate to our firewall vendor.

Cheers,

Re: Server stalling on wget at start of update

Hi, It seems the requests are making all to our internal firewall but not being seen on the external firewall. Packet traces confirm this, but the vendors management tools show nothing. There is a rule on the external firewall to allow this traffic out. Thanks for the link, the NagiosXI server is no...

Re: Server stalling on wget at start of update

Hi,

Our network team is going to check that the server is NAT'd correctly.

I'll update if there is a development.

Cheers,

Server stalling on wget at start of update

Hi, We are in the process of updating our NagiosXI servers to 2014R1.1. Our 5th and last server to be upgraded however seems to choke kicking off wget to even pull the update file from assets.nagios.com. I have checked /etc/yum.conf and /etc/wgetrc to see if a proxy is configured (nope) and have ver...

Re: 2012R2.7 fails to uipgrade to 2014R1.1

Hi, I just did that and the ../host/ and ../services/ directories were clear before running the "apply configuration" repopulated them (cleanly too I might add) I reran the upgrade and it failed again at the same point, with the same error. I then rolled the machine back (its the CentOS VM...

2012R2.7 fails to uipgrade to 2014R1.1

Hi, I have tried to upgrade one of our NagiosXI servers (2012R2.7) to the latest version using the normal upgrade process. However, it seems to work, but fails right at the end. I managed to grab the following off the console. Any ideas? (the reboot at the end was me) make install - This installs th...
