Feedback from setting up dashboards

Just wanted to give some feedback on my experience of setting up dashboards. Been fiddling today setting up the dashboards for the screen rotation and I have found that everytime I add a dashlet to a dashboard the current screen goes to the top of the page. This is a bit of a pain when I have so man...

Global Change To Services

Is there an easy way to change multiple services rather than going in to each one at a time? For example, to change the time between checks or command line switches.

Regards

Different Time Displayed In GUI

Me again... :) Probably something really simple, but a little quirky. I have updated the timezone in the shell so that it uses the GMT timezone. When I use the 'date' command, the correct time is shown. [root@localhost /]# date Wed Mar 16 16:25:50 GMT 2011 In the Admin secion, underneath the Adminis...

AS/400 Monitoring

Just wondering if anyone has installed any of the AS400 plugins on NagiosXI. Would be interested to hear how successful and easy the install was as I would like to see if I can put one in place before I decide whether to purchase NagiosXI.

Thanks,
Ben

Re: Created Host Groups But Getting Configuration Error

Just to confirm that it worked. I added a host into the embedded host group. Saved config. Then embedded the hostgroup within the parent hostgroup and saved config.

All works 100%. Thanks very much.

Re: Created Host Groups But Getting Configuration Error

Ah gotcha. Thanks Box 293, I'll try populating the Hostgroups with hosts and see how that goes. I was just trying to get the structure sorted out before putting the hosts in the groups. Will give it a try and let you know. Thanks, Ben

Re: Created Host Groups But Getting Configuration Error

Thanks for the reply. Went through the snapshot and it was erroring out anytime I had a hostgroup with hostgroup members. Removed all the hostgroup members and the snapshot successfully applied. I've now gone back in to add the hostgroup members and it still errors out. The message is: Error: Could ...

Created Host Groups But Getting Configuration Error

Looking for some pointers in the right direction please. I've been creating a batch of meaningful host groups so that I can group relevant hosts together for reporting purposes. After spending the time typing all the groups into the Nagios XI interface, when I try to apply configuration it fails. Th...

Google DNS IP Match

Hi, Hoping I am not reposting a question, but could not find it on the search function. Keep getting a failure on the Google DNS IP Match as the IP addresses seem to change for google. I maged to get it working with the string of IP addresses that I was getting yesterday, but today the range has cha...
