NagEvLogCtrl Installation - Windows 2008 Server R2
Can anyone tell me the exact steps to install NagEvLogCtrl on Windows 2008 Server R2, including the required version of the Visual C++ distribution? I need to know what version of NagEvLogCtr to use (1.9.2?), whether or not to copy over the nagevlog.exe and NagEvLogCtrl.exe supplied with EventLog-64...

Re: Handling Forwarded SNMP Alerts
Using your instructions I was able to get the StruxureWare traps logging to /var/log/snmptt/snmpttunknown.log. After adding the following to /etc/snmp/snmptt.conf, restarting the three SNMP services and doing the chmod -R 777 /var/spool/snmptt, chmod -R 777 /var/log/snmptt: # MIB Translation for APC...

Questions about supported components
I'd like to know which add-ons are officially supported by Nagios' Support organization, for three 'types' of add-ons:. 1) Out of the box add-ons, added via the Monitoring Wizard (i.e. those showing in the Monitoring Wizard, such as Auto-Discovery, BPI Wizard, DHCP, Email Delivery, etc). 2) Add-ons ...

Re: Handling Forwarded SNMP Alerts
Been distracted by other work. Not sorted out yet, and certainly not given up. I hope to get back to it this afternoon or tomorrow morning. I will update the posting when I have news for you. Thanks.

Re: Handling Forwarded SNMP Alerts
snmpttunknown.log is 0 bytes also? Could snmptt be broken at this point? Nagios seems to be running fine as does snmptt.

Re: Handling Forwarded SNMP Alerts
I think we're getting closer, but still not there. I should note that Nagious is resolving the StruxureWare server IP arddress to the FQDN, so I thought the snmptt.ini question might be relevant. I found that the snmptt.ini file was set to do domain stripping by default (i.e. strip_domain = 1). I ch...

Re: Handling Forwarded SNMP Alerts
My StruxureWare server is resolvable in Nagios. How do I check if Nagios server is configured to strip domains? I don't believe we changed that.

Re: Handling Forwarded SNMP Alerts
Absolutely. Typically when there is no MIB installed for the particular device sending the traps, the /var/log/snmptt/snmpttunknown.log shows details. In this case there are no entries for this (or any SNMP device). My StruxureWare Central server is sending the traps to port 162 ... presumably that ...
