Are there no best practices around anti virus exclusions for Nagios?

Foe example when running active checks exclude the libexec directory as it contains the plugins, the nrpe daemon etc..

We were just about to upgrade from version 5.6.14 to 5.7.5

However version 5.8.0 has now been released, does this new version address the possible issues with upgrading to NDO3 on 5.7+

How would you move that component over - I do not understand how you do this?
