check_logfiles plugin via NCPA
Hello, Has anyone had success using the console labs check_logfiles plugin via NCPA (essentially through the cmd line). I want the Flexibility to do fairly simple checks without having to make changes via a config on the remote hosts. The problem: NCPA requires that I pass in the arguments quoted; a...

NCPA Remote Service Reports unknown
Hi,
I'm trying to check the status of a service. The NCPA Plugin is coming back with unknown for the service state. Under what circumstances would this happen? The service is running on the remote host. Other Services are running.
Thanks,
Maxwell Ramirez

Re: config state & Nagios service behavior
I was asking about the 'system/command/command_id' endpoint where 'command_id' is the command_id for the previously executed apply_config command via the 'system/applyconfig' endpoint. Specifically, what the 'result_code' and the 'status_code' refer to? def get_config_status(self, id_in, print_resul...

Do you have a planned release date for NCPA on RHEL 8.x?
I apologize if this isn't the correct location for this.
Thanks,
Maxwell Ramirez

Re: config state & Nagios service behavior
Hello, I didn't test it from the API. A search in the GUI initially showed no *host*. I added it, it showed that it was a duplicate, and the HG was set to "blank". Upon setting it to a legitimate hostgroup I was able to apply the config. But I don't particularly care about that. The Core q...

config state & Nagios service behavior
Hello, I have two closely related concepts: config state & Nagios service behavior. Questions of interest: what are some events that would cause the Nagios service to stop? Specifically as it relates to the API. Can I check the config state? I'd really be interested in getting the error messages...
