FYI, you're not going to avoid problems switching to NCPA. You'll still have to deal with NCPA crashing or needing restarted, etc... just like WMI does. WMI isn't changing. There is a CLI utility for managing WMI that is going away but only because it's being replaced by Powershell commandlets. It looks like the latest version of XI is mangling the heck out of the nagiosxi logrotate file.
