FYI, you're not going to avoid problems switching to NCPA. You'll still have to deal with NCPA crashing or needing restarted, etc... just like WMI does. WMI isn't changing. There is a CLI utility for managing WMI that is going away but only because it's being replaced by Powershell commandlets.
