Dynamic server monitoring in Nagios? (Non persistent VDI servers)
Hello Out of curiosity, is there a way to dynamically remote servers? We have non persistent VDI servers which spin up/down, get created/destroyed/etc, with a set pattern (CTXVDI## : CTXVDI01, CTXVDI02, etc.) and we would like to monitor them when they get created and then unmonitor them when they g...

Re: Monitor Lenovo XClarity Controller 2
Thanks for reaching out riahc3 , I found this link https://pubs.lenovo.com/xcc2/monitoring_the_server_status You'd probably have to write or modify a plugin that scrapes this webpage to get the relevant information. Nagios XI Windows Server NCPA configuration wizard requires token
Hello
In Nagios XI, the Windows Server Configuration Wizard NCPA is requiring a token. Due to the architecture, a token isnt required at all so it can be ommited.
Can you please at least add a checkbox that says "No token" to exclude it?
Thank you

Update Nagios XI on CentOS 8 Stream?
Hello When updating Nagios XI on CentOS 8 Stream, a EoL message shows. That being said: https://nagiosenterprises.my.site.com/support/s/article/Nagios-Software-OS-supported-versions RHEL 8 is supported still; CentOS 8 is completely unsupported then? We were able to update our Nagios XI to Nagios XI ...

Re: Invalid password on Nagios Log Server Web GUI even after nagiosadmin password reset
Nagios Log Server is bugged beyond use.
I recommend use using a ELK stack even though its harder.

Will migration be easy or a reinstallation be needed?jmichaelson wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 12:53 pm We're working on Updating the back end stack of the software from the old version of ElasticSearch to Opensearch. I can't commit to timeframes, but it's coming.

Re: nagiosadmin script does not work
I believe this is a bug because if the index is read from the new location, why dont the credentials work anymore? Or even reset them?

Re: nagiosadmin script does not work
Could you explain more about moving your data directory? We do have a guide for moving the data directory elsewhere, but I'm not sure how you could run into this password issue just from these steps, so I'd like to know more about what steps you took to move yours. https://assets.nagios.com/downloa...
