Bulk host cloning

Post by BanditBBS »

I just cloned a host and it didn't copy the hostgroup that it belonged too to the new hosts. Isn't that something that used to get copied? I have hundreds of hosts to import today and I am going to have to touch each one afterwards to add to the proper hostgroup.

EDIT: I can use bulk modification to modify, so that makes it easier...but still, thought hostgroups were copied in 2012

As an intermidiary solution, you could try to use the old bulk cloning wizard, if you are able to get it somewhere. I did not try the new bulk host cloning wizard. I'll test it soon.

Ah-Ha! That checkmark at the bottom of the wizard probably did it. Nevermind, close this thread, pebkac issue!

pebkac=problem exists between keyboard and chair
