Sorry I've been busy. I did manage to download it and get it up and running so if I get enough time tomorrow I'll spend some time looking into it.
As of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.

Hi John,
I spent some time looking at this today and I think your problem is related to your contact definitions. Specifically you have host and service commands assigned to "host commands" and host and service commands assigned to "service commands".
All of your contacts should be updated so they ONLY have host commands assigned to "host commands" and service commands assigned to "service commands".

The GUI makes things much, much easier
I'm used to Nagios XI which implements a similar version of this.

I would also confirm in /usr/local/nagios/nagiosql/contacts.cfg to make sure they are set correctly.
