Tight Nagios Client security on Windows

Post by vmesquita »

Hi,

Is it possible to run Nagios client under an account with less privileges than Local System? Is there any documentation about it?

Is this in regards to NSClient, NCPA, or another agent? The answer will likely depend on what agent, or method you are using.

NCPA may not need it, but you would have to roll your own account with the necessary access (disks, memory, perf counters, proc, etc)
