Hi guys,
Is there anyone got experience to monitor Dell Compellent Storage in Nagios XI?
I can't find any plugins support by Dell Compellent..
Hope someone expert can advise.
Thanks.

I don't see any direct plugins either, does it support SNMP? That would be a viable solution in most cases.

Hi, the storage can setup snmp...slansing wrote:I don't see any direct plugins either, does it support SNMP? That would be a viable solution in most cases.
but how can we manage it from Nagios XI without any plugins?
Re: Monitor Dell Compellent Storage
We have an SNMP wizard that will handle all the SNMP setup. You can find our wizards under Configure -> Monitoring Wizards.

Yes, as mentioned, you can use the SNMP wizard. You don't need to look for a wizard that is named specifically after a device which you wish to check via SNMP. Give the SNMP wizard a shot, you could also walk the device with the SNMP Walk wizard, and monitor it from there too...

I need to know the OID, am I right?slansing wrote:Yes, as mentioned, you can use the SNMP wizard. But with this setup, is the graph able to generate?
Re: Monitor Dell Compellent Storage
If you know the OID you can use it directly in the plain SNMP Wizard, otherwise the SNMP Walk Wizard will list all the available OIDs on the device.
As for graphing, check_snmp can usually parse out some useful strings from the SNMP output.
