In the Nagios XI GUI, click on Admin > Monitoring Engine Status and in the Monitoring Engine Process Dashlet, disable notifications.
After doing this, do the Notifications stop sending?
Can you post the following file here?

Code: Select all

/usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg

Are you still receiving emails for the service checks called "DataFile IO Traffic" or are you just getting Alerted that it is up, down, etc?
Can you post the following file from your Nagios XI system?

Code: Select all

/usr/local/nagios/var/retention.dat
If you are still receiving emails, lets try and restart the nagios process to see if they stop. Run the following commands.

Code: Select all

service nagios stop
killall -9 nagios
service nagios start

Could you go to the home screen in XI, click on Service Detail and select one of the services that are generating a alert.
Click on the Advanced Tab, screen capture that and post it here so we can see it?

That screen capture shows that that service is up and hasn't generated an alert for over 9 days and with notifications disabled, it shouldn't be sending emails either.
Can you show one that is generating an alert?
