Try upgrading at least the component, if not XI itself. I can confirm that auto-run is working as intended on XI 5.2.0 and BBMap 1.1.3

BBMap component was updated on both test and prod. It does not work. We aren't ready to upgrade to XI 5 yet. Currently we are on XI 2.6.

Unfortunately, the BBMap version 1.1.3 is not backwards compatible to XI 2.6. You will need to upgrade to XI 5 if you would like to take advantage of this functionality.
