NagiosXI Installation - Login Failed

Im trying to install Nagios XI on RHEL5 and have been having some problems. The install stops at ./E-importnagiosql with the following error

NAGIOSQL LOGIN FAILED!
ERROR: NagiosQL import appears to have failed - exiting. (Reason: Import files are still present in /usr/local/nagios/etc/import)

Is there something I am missing and has anybody experienced this issue as well? Please post any resolutions you have.

we are trying to install Nagios XI as well (on CentOS 6) and we are experiencing the same problem. During installation we had other problems too, which was finally solved, but at this point we cannot move further. Any advice?

CentOS 6 threw some repo changes at us after we released 1.7. Here's our solution that should take care of this issue.
