Windows monitor Prerequisites

Hi buddy,

I'm using student version Core VM 4.1.1, while looking at the monitoring windows machines guide (https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ndows.html), there is a Prerequisites saying:

Edit the main Nagios config file.
vi /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg
Remove the leading pound (#) sign from the following line in the main configuration file:
#cfg_file=/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/windows.cfg

However, when I vi /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg, I didn't find there is a entry named #cfg_file=/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/windows.cfg, am I missing something?

I can only find below objects:

#cfg_file=/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/contacts.cfg
#cfg_file=/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/localhost.cfg
#cfg_file=/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/templates.cfg
#cfg_file=/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/timeperiods.cfg

You can add your own line like so below the commented ones out -

cfg_file=/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/windows.cfg

This tells nagios to look for the file /usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/windows.cfg and read any definitions (whether it be for hosts / services / etc.)

Here are the contents of windows.cfg, remember this is just a sample configuration so you will need to make changes to it.
