MSSQL monitoring using MSSQL Query option

Post by chanlinux »

Hi Folks
We are using MSSQL Query option in Nagios console for Monitoring database alive state. But it expects Integer or string output from the Query. Is there any option to parse the query where-in output can be controlled with Custom message( Eg: Alert should be displayed as Database<name> is down).

Thanks

What version of Nagios are you using, and what plugin are you using? Just want to get the basic information for starters.

There are actually a couple different plugins available.

Can you provide a screenshot to show us a bit more information?
