update address and port

Post by JohnFLi »

I have a NagiosXI install that is behind a tight firewall. As a result, it is not able to check for updates and it hasn't done so in so long, it also isn't able to see that it has been renewed.

What port and address do I need to have opened in the firewall so NagiosXI can go check for updates?

IPs our customers should allow through their firewall for updates:

50.116.21.73 and 72.14.181.71

api.nagios.com
api.nagios.org
assets.nagios.com

ports 80 & 443

I am still waiting for our firewall people to make the change to verify that was the solution.

I have a message on the update page that says
You cannot upgrade your XI installation because your maintenance for this license has expired
I sent an email to sales asking for the Key (incase it was different) and included the invoice number and date the renewal was paid and I never heard back.

JohnFLi,

Our sales dept is going to send a script to reset your maintenance date that should resolve the issue

Did your firewall people make the change yet? That update should work regardless of license status.

They keep looking at logs and say they aren't seeing anything and they said they opened the items and ports you said to open

Interesting.

What happens if you try to use this command?

Code: Select all
