Change User Access Level - Confirm Password Required

Post by WillemDH »

hello,

I'm having issues changing user's access levels. When I try to change the access level of an AD user from 'Admin' to 'User', I get a red box with the message: "The confirm Password field is required".

Grtz

Can you confirm your LS version? Your signature says said 1.4.0 but the latest is 1.4.1 - just wanna make sure so we can test the right version on our end.

Edit: I see from another LS thread of yours that you are on 1.4.1, so we'll get this tested and update the thread.

This is a bug, it also occurs when nothing is changed, I've created a bug report:

Code: Select all

NEW TASK ID 8615 created - Nagios Log Server Bug Report: Edit User > Change Access Level > Save - Confirm Password Error
The file I need to modify is encrypted so I'm unable to provide a code fix as this point.

As a workaround:
- Edit the user
- Set the Auth Type to Local (don't save though)
- Set the Password and Confirm Password boxes to anything
- Set your Access Level
- Set the Auth Type back to Active Directory
- Click the Save User button

Thank you
