Upgrade to XI version 5.2.8

Post by absarcompass »

Hi Guys,
XI5.2.8.PNG
I have tried upgrading from web interface,as per the image above, it looks like 5.2.7 was already bugged with fail to upgrade from web interface.
I tried to follow the manual process which looked fine but i am still not sure if it was a successful attempt.
I didn't get the complete message that I use to get on previous upgrades, which is something like
Checking global event handlers...
Checking obsessive compulsive processor commands...
Checking misc settings...

Total Errors: 0

Things look okay - No serious problems were detected during the pre-flight check

Starting httpd:

If this upgrade is successful then it has not solved the issue of Upgrading NagiosXi from webinterface, although I can see the new version Nagios XI 5.2.8 on the bottom left of the page.

How can I be sure if it was a successful upgrade?

If it shows 5.2.8 at the bottom left, then it's upgraded. There have been issues with the web upgrade in the past which we have worked through, but unfortunately different factors keep coming in to play.

We're going to rewrite this function in 5.3.
