SNMPTT service locked up

Please run this tail command:

tail -f /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/cmdsubsys.log

Then apply configuration and once it's complete send us the entire output of the tail command, I want to make sure it's actually restarting it properly.

I've found that when snmptt has problems, a restart shows the stop part failed. I just restarted on two systems and the stop phase was ok. Thus, the restart in the nagios init script solved the problem. The init script plus monitoring the spool dir should be sufficient so I'm confused on what the issue is now.

On the XI web interface. Make sure you're running the command @ssax posted when you do so, and then post back the output it produces.

I've just upgraded Nagios to 5.3.0 and the upgrade has overwritten the edit in the /etc/init.d/nagios file

Should I put it back in or has this issue been fixed in 5.3.0 ?

It has been added in 5.3 so it should be working, is it not working for you?
