Autodiscovery and the NSClient++ agent

Post by dpearceFL »

I'd like to use the agent on most of my Windows servers. The only place I see a place to enter the Agent password is with I add a single "Windows Server".

Is there a way to auto discovery all of the machines on a subnet that have the agent installed and to put the check_xi_service_nsclient checks on that host?

Thanks.

Dave

You could auto discover your machines, but you'd need to apply a template to them to get services like this added automatically. (or add them to a hostgroup)

See the attached document, it might help you out quite a bit. Let me know if you have any questions about it!

Just checking in since we have not heard from you in a while. Did @rkennedy's post clear things up or has the issue otherwise been resolved?
