Hi,This is my first post, I found some with similar problem, but suggested solutions did't work for me.
I configured an alert that shoud fire when bypass is activated in a UPS. I'm using a saved query that shows results in a dashboard for the configured period (4 hours back). The alert runs every 2 minutes. The alert last run status allways shows is Ok, but the query result is always 0 matching entries (as I said, I get results when the same query is run in a dashboard).

could you post a a screenshot of your settings for the alert?

Additionally, what version of Log Server are you using?

Greetings, welcome to the forum 
Some few simple things that come to mind:
- What is the Lookback Period set to in the Alert Settings popup?
- Does your saved query (which the alert is based on) consistently show results if you set the timeperiod to match your alert's Lookback? A 2 minute interval is aggressive, you may be 'missing' the hits if your lookback is also narrow.
- Assuming it does indeed, is any difference if you delete the alert and create a fresh one based on the query?
