Active checks are disabled for this service

Post by chagrinboy2001 »

Hi,

I need some help. I installed NagEventLog and everything seems ok. (connection seems successful)
I'm interested only to monitor System EventLog. Now I can see only one Event but I would like to see in Nagios XI all System Events Log. When I tried to click on the place (to expand the view) I received "Active checks are disabled for this service" message. Is it possible what I want ? And so ... how?

Many thanks !

Cheers
Bogdan

This is correct, because it is a passive check, meaning Nagios doesn't decide when a check result will happen, NagEventLog does.

I believe the setting you are looking for is in the Event Log Agent on the client computer. there you can set which logs should be sent.
