Adding Instance Fails
Adding Instance Fails
We're running 1.4.4 and we're trying to add an instance......entering the http://<ip address>/nagioslogserver and cluster ID into the new instance. Where can I look to see why it's failing?

Re: Adding Instance Fails
Hello, @tjloftin. Was that a clean installation of a new log server instance, or was the log server already working for a while before you decided to add it to a cluster? How many other instances are in the cluster?
Also, please open up the Admin menu in the working log server and check the cluster status.

Re: Adding Instance Fails
It's a brand new install and would be the first additional instance added to our current log server....the cluster status is yellow

Re: Adding Instance Fails
@tjloftin Both log servers have to be the same version. So the new installation should be of version 1.4.4 as well.
Also, when you're attempting to add an instance to the cluster try to use only ip and cluster ID, not http://<ip address>/nagioslogserver.
What kind of error are you getting when you adding an instance? Can you include a screenshot?

@tjloftin, Glad you were able to resolve this. May I lock this thread?
