Nagios cannot be reached or ping

I am using Nagios XI in VMware Workstation 14 unconfigured and was previously able to connect and use it through the browser on the IP it was given. I updated VMware to WMware Pro and it was no longer reachable, nor did it have an IP assigned anymore. I went through the steps at https://support.nagios.com/kb/article/c ... 9.html#EL7 to give it a static IP but this did not solve the issue. I also cannot ping anywhere from the console either. I even tried to run the instance in VMWare workstation 14 but the issue still persists. I am unsure how to proceed.

Hello, @IGreene. Are you able to bing an external URL from the nagios console? Can you right click on the VM and under settings make sure that you're using the correct network adapter?

I was able to resolve the issue with VMware tech support as it was indeed a VMware issue and not Nagios. Thank you for your time.
