Apply Configuration takes too long

Hi

I have Nagios XI Version 2014R1.2.
When I ran Apply Configuration it takes along time and the page get stuck.
I did restart to all the services and repaier the DB but it did helped.

Any idea why?

The version of XI you are running is from a little over 4 years ago, is there a possibility of upgrading because the Apply configuration process has been significantly improved since then.
