lock File - nagios not running

lock File - nagios not running

My nagios server (process_ suddenly stopped running.

When i run service nagios status i get

No lock file found in /var/run/nagios.lock
and at the web interface
unable to get process status



or
nagios (pid 2469) is running...
and at the web interface not running


At both nagios does not actually run

Hello, @orani. Does the lock file reappear after you start the nagios process?
service nagios start
As of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.

No. When i run service nagios start there are no erros but no lock file is created and nagios dont really start

@orani, When did this issue start and what changes were done to the server prior to this?

What's the output of:
service nagios status
Can you show me the output of:
tail -200 /usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.log
Also, please show me the output of the following commands:
cat /etc/rc.d/init.d/nagios | grep NagiosRunFile=
cat /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg | grep lock

please close this thread. It was a critical issue and we restored our backup so i cannot reply and give more infos about the problem.
