Ghost hosts won't go away

Does the item still show in the Core Config Manager?
Can you successfully Apply Configuration?
Does the cfg file for the host still exist in /usr/local/nagios/etc/hosts ?

If the answers are
No
Yes
No

We must have a database problem, in which case I would recommend running

I ran the first repair earlier with no success. After running both and rebooting I still see the ghost hosts in the minemap.

Do you only see it in the minemap?

I see it in all of the NagiosXI dashlets. The minemap is just the one I've been testing against.

Can you tail the syslog to see if any errors are showing up

No, they don't appear there. In fact there are many differences in the status of the hosts between NagiosXI and Nagios.

This sounds like a ndo2db problem

Try running

killall -9 ndo2db 
service ndo2db start

then run the following to verify it is running

If that doesn't fix it, please post your nagios.cfg
