Getting Login Terminal to the Nagios Server

Team,

I have THREE instances of Nagios XI running for Dev, Pre-Prod and Prod.

I could see below configuration in /etc/httpd/conf.d/ssl.conf

Code: Select all

<Location /nagiosxi/terminal>
    ProxyPass  https://localhost:7878/
    Order      allow,deny
    Allow      from all
</Location>
When I try to access the resource on HTTP/HTTPS "https://intra.dev.eiamreporting.cac.gov ... minal/",it open SSH Connect. I have attached the screenshot for your reference. I can experience the same behavior across the environments.

Note that the servers are behind Firewall and SSH connection is allowed for limited users, however this setting is violating the security.

Please suggest the way to avoid the unexpected incident.

You can disable the SSH Terminal by going to:
Admin > System Config > System Settings > Security > Disable the SSH Terminal web portal = checked > Update Settings

Hello,

Thanks for your response.

I followed the navigation path mentioned by you to disable the terminal access. I could not it get.

Are you referring to disable checkbox under section "Page Security Settings" ? This seems to be disable Frame Restrictions. Please confirm.

What is the version of Nagios XI that you are currently using? I believe the option to enable/disable the SSH Terminal was added in XI 5.6.0.
Added the ability to enable/disable the web GUI terminal [TPS#13690] -CN

I am following the same navigation path.

I am on Nagios XI 5.5.11.

Does it mean I will have to upgrade it.

Yes, if you would like to use this option, you would need to upgrade your Nagios XI instance. This option was not available in Nagios XI 5.5.11.

as per https://www.nagios.com/news/2019/02/nag ... xi-5-5-11/, I went to admin and clicked on update.
However, I am getting "Update Check Problem: Last update check failed".
Please help.

Cleaning repos: epel nagios-base nagiosxi-deps
Cleaning up everything
Maybe you want: rm -rf /var/cache/yum, to also free up space taken by orphaned data from disabled or removed repos
