But we are having an issue to the configuration file.

Check your configuration file(s) to ensure that they contain valid
directives and data definitions. If you are upgrading from a previous
version of Nagios, you should be aware that some variables/definitions
may have been removed or modified in this version. Make sure to read
the HTML documentation regarding the config files, as well as the
'Whats New' section to find out what has changed.

Re: Nagios XI Import Config Files
Hi @elealyngarcia,
There's an error with one of the configurations.
Once you find the service, make sure there is a host defined along with a service description. Then go to Tools > Config File Management and perform the following steps:
1. Delete Files
2. Write Files
3. Verify Files Does it pass verification? If so go to step 4. If not, try to correct the error based on the message and then repeat steps 1 and 2.
4. Restart Nagios Core
Let me know if you're able to get it corrected.

Go to to Configure > CCM > Monitoring > Services and find the service. You can search for S_Asurion_Linux_NTP_NRPE in the text box in the upper right side of the screen,Error: Service has no hosts and/or service_description (config file '/usr/local/nagios/etc/services/S_Asurion_Linux_NTP_NRPE.cfg', starting on line 1

Re: Nagios XI Import Config Files
Hi,
I'm able to resolve most of the error and follow the Config File Management. I did notice that most of the templates lost most of the configuration, and have a _empty_host and _multiple_host configuration.

Hi @elealyngarcia,
Good to hear, it sounds like you got it fixed. Did you have any other questions or shall we close this thread?
