I am not receiving the notifications via email for alerts i have set up.
Where would I find that setting?

Didn't you set them when you run the wizard? How did you set your hosts/services? You can view/add/remove monitoring contacts via the CCM. Also, under "Host Detail" (Home Page) you can click on Configure->Reconfigure this host->Notifications->make your selections->Update. Same goes for services.

I just went through all my host, now i need to go through all the services. correct?

Do I have to specify notification options, IE. n, u, f, s etc......

Yes, these have to be set up. When you define them on a "service level" you are overriding the template. I am not sure what template you are using for this particular service... Also, each user can customize his/her notification preferences go going to: Configure->My Account Settings->Notification Preferences->Notification Types.
