I'm stucked in 5.7.5 version with CentOS 6 and I would migrate to CentOS 7.
I would not fresh install a CentOS and then install NagiosXI. I'd prefer to download OVA from Nagios site.
But from today the OVA comes with 5.8.0.
Could I have the previous OVA with 5.7.5 in order to simply restore my bk??
Regards,
Graziano.

Re: Stuck in 5.7.5 with CentOS 6
Hi Graziano,
I asked this question a while back myself and got this answer. Hopefully this helps
They are available in URL's with the format like the following changing out the version number (replacing 5.7.4)
CODE: SELECT ALL
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... lpc-64.zip

The general process for migration (if you're doing a migration) is this:
Since you're using an OVA you don't need to do these top steps:
Spin up new EL7/EL8 system (I would choose EL7 for 3rd party plugin/utility compatibility at this point in time)
Install the exact version of XI on the new one that the old one has:
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... -Linux.pdf
Backup the old, transfer to the new one, restore to it:
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf
Follow the After the Restore section of the backup/restore guide completely
Run the restore_repair script from the backup/restore guide on the new one because you are changing OS versions
Shutdown or re-IP the old:
https://support.nagios.com/kb/article/c ... s-549.html
Re-IP the new one with the old (this prevents you from having to touch firewall rules/agent allowed from directives on the devices you're monitoring:
https://support.nagios.com/kb/article/c ... s-549.html
Additionally, please see here:
https://support.nagios.com/kb/article.php?id=145
Then you can upgrade your new server to XI 5.8.
If you have any issues, send us any errors you are seeing.
