Re: Netapp devices monitoring
Hello,
Thanks for your reply!!
I want to monitor specifically below three parameters for NetAPP devices:
Volume
Aggregate
LUN
Could you please suggest specific plugins for he same?
I already checked available plugins in Nagios Exchange but didnt find anything specific to above.
Looking forward for your support!!

Re: Netapp devices monitoring
Hi kalyanpabolu,
Since this is using SNMP, please refer the NetApp documentation to find the corresponding OID's for those parameters.
https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubl ... B)_element
Once that is determined you can either use the SNMP Wizard or SNMP Walk Wizard in Nagios XI to setup those checks.

Re: Netapp devices monitoring
Hello,
I was checking for below plugin:
https://exchange.nagios.org/directory/P ... ap/details
It seems to be better for our requirement. It needs some SDK software, if we install it, will that create any impact on Nagios server?
Can you please suggest if we are good to use it?
We are actually not willing to go with SNMP part.
It would be great if you could provide specific plugin for volume, aggregate and LUNs.

Re: Netapp devices monitoring
Hi,
I don't believe the SDK will cause any issues with Nagios but I would recommend deploying a test server to test any changes before pushing this over to the production instance.
Also, this post may be helpful for setting this up.

I haven't used this plugin before but the author is very knowledgeable and skilled with Nagios products. I tried installing it on my test system and signed up for a NetApp account but since I do not have a license I was unable to download the SDK.It seems to be better for our requirements. Re: Netapp devices monitoring
Hello,
Thanks for your reply!!
We do have account over there and I can download the software for you. Will you be able to do the testing from your end and help us to configure the same?
The available versions for SDK I could see is 9.6, 9.7, 9.7p1 ,9.8 and 9.8P1.
Please let me know if you can help us if I provide the software to you. Also, which version we should go with. I fell 9.7 or 9.8 would be good.

Re: Netapp devices monitoring
Hi,
I can certainly try to test it here for installation issues, but I don't have a live NetApp product to connect to.
