Nagios Core - Adding remote hosts

Hi all,

Ive tried following various guides on installing nagios on an almalinux 9 box to use to monitor several dedicated servers that we host.

Nagios itself is working fine with localhost services monitored but I'm a bit confused on how to add additional remote hosts to nagios.

but when changing the cfg to use the nodes template for a remote server, nagios fails to start and errors.

Any advice or better guides on adding remote hosts would be appreciated.
