Hi,
Emails received from my xi box are stamped one hour behind, but my system time shows the correct time and time zone (correct symbolic link, etc.)
searches of google and this forum have not yielded an answer.
Thank you in advance,
Kipling
Nagiosxi email notifications are 1 hour behind...
Re: Nagiosxi email notifications are 1 hour behind...
Are you using our VM, or is it manual install?
If it's a manual install, can you give us your distro information? We'll see what we can figure out from there.

Hi,
Still looking for a resolution for this. What other information should I be gathering? What else can I try?
Thank you,
Kipling

Might this be controlled by the client or a relaying SMTP server outside of XI, especially if set to use SMTP instead of sendmail?

Thank you for the reply.
It appears that the time issue extends to the "Last Updated:" titles in the dashboards. These are also behind.
When I go to the console of the server itself, 'data' does return the correct date/time/tz

You might try restarting your Nagios engine, and see if it syncs up again with the server's time.

Another thing to check would be the timezone defined for PHP in the php.ini file, as this can be different from the system one.
Re: Nagiosxi email notifications are 1 hour behind...
Tony,
Thanks! The timezone in the php.ini was incorrect (Chicago instead of New_York).
Corrected the setting, rebooted, all is well.
Thanks again,
Kipling
