Nagios time-out

We are having problems now with unknown alarm signal.
For example

Notification Type: PROBLEM

Service: CRON
Host: linux - test
Address: 1.1.1.1
State: UNKNOWN

Date/Time: Mon Feb 21 13:13:06 CET 2011

Additional Info:

ERROR: Alarm signal (Nagios time-out)


This is check_snmp_process module, version 1.10

Could you please help finding the problem?

Could you try running the check command directly from the shell (as the nagios user, with all the appropriate arguments)? Does it succeed? How long does it take?
