I have a host setup and am receiving multiple alerts on fluctuate in usage of memory,
is there a way for me to configure where I only see when the CPU usage is only critical for a period of time?
I do have flapping setup, but we still get the warning/critical emails before that kicks in.

Re: flapping configuration
You could push out the first notification, but beyond that I would recommend pushing your warning/critical thresholds further out if you are on the edge of the current usage. Unless you do this you won't solve the rapid state change problem you are facing.
Re: flapping configuration
that's what I did, a workaround for now.

Re: flapping configuration
Yep, as Sam mentioned, the proper way to deal with this is to increase your thresholds or your check_intervals.

Alright, let us know if you want us to re-open this to pursue other avenues.
