Nagios XI on Nagios Core 4.x ?

Hi Support,
I can see in our Nagios XI installation that Nagios core running version 3.50.
When will Nagios XI updated to use Nagios core 4.x ? - As I understand the Nagios Core 4.x
gives much better performance than Nagios Core 3.x.
Or is it possible to update Nagios Core separately in an NagiosXI installation ?

Yes, indeed it does, I would first recommend upgrading to the latest version of XI, as there were already some good changes made. Nagios Core 4 will be released on XI with XI 2014 in the near future, it should be running 4.0.4 on the back end. Do not attempt to upgrade to Core 4 on your own as your version of XI is not going to function properly with it.
