So I'm hoping this will be a fairly simple problem to resolve. I've followed the documentation located here https://support.nagios.com/kb/article/n ... r-527.html and setup the template (literal copy and paste from the documentation) for a test user. I then made sure that the test user is linked to a host that has x number of services attached in a non-ok state.
I then forced a custom notification from inside Nagios XI and also waited for the standard notifications to happen over time. What I found was that the template set at the user level has no impact on the actual email that is sent. By that, I mean that the fields being sent in the email are the literal hard-coded defaults instead of the fields specified in the template at the user level.
I have verified that the settings are not set to lock on the Notification Preferences page in Admin -> Notification Management -> Notification Preferences. I feel like I'm missing something easy here, but for the life of me can't figure out what.
Ideas?

Re: Custom Notification templates...
Did you deploy those templates and settings to the users when you were in Notification Management?
Re: Custom Notification templates...
Yup, sure did. I finally got impatient waiting for a reply and re-ran the installer and I guess something had just been damaged because after that it started working.

Re: Custom Notification templates...
Sorry if you had to wait a while for a reply.
Glad it's working for you now though!
Did you have any more questions or are we okay to lock this up?
