Good morning,
I'm trying to figure out how to adjust my service checks to keep from going Critical until 15 minutes has passed. I thought if I set the Check Interval to 15 minutes that would do it, but the system doesn't seem to be following the 15 minute rule.
For testing, I forced an immediate check while the service I'm monitoring was running and then stopped it right after. Unfortunately, Nagios checked the service again within about 5 minutes instead of 15.
Am I missing something? Thank you.

Re: Nagios alerting in the console
If you have it set to a 15 minute check interval (and applied configuration)
After forcing an immediate check, you should see in the display on the advances tab that the next check is scheduled 15 minutes our (providing that it was in an OK state with the immediate check)

Ok, maybe it just took some time for the change to process. It's working as expected now. Thank you.
